• Authentication credentials: hashed passwords (we never see your plain-text password) and login session tokens
• Contact form submissions: messages and inquiries you send us through the site or via support@seddt.com
• Customer data: facility names, device labels, monitored asset descriptions, threshold settings, and any notes you add

Information collected automatically

• Sensor and device telemetry: readings from sensors and gateways you connect to the Service — temperature, pressure, status events, and similar environmental data
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and basic interaction logs to help us improve the product
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP
• Login records: sign-in timestamps, failed login attempts, and last-login dates (used to detect suspicious activity)

What we don't collect

We do not knowingly collect data from minors. We do not collect government identification numbers, financial account credentials, or biometric data. We do not track you across unrelated third-party websites.

4. Third-Party Services We Use Important

To run the Service, we rely on the following infrastructure providers. They process information on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy practices:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database (Firestore), and web hosting. Data is stored in Google Cloud regions; the primary region for SEDDT is nam5 (multi-region North America). See Firebase Privacy and Security.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS, content delivery, and email routing for our custom domain. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• GitHub, Inc. — source code version control and deployment automation (does not process customer data).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies, primarily for:

• Authentication: keeping you signed in (set by Firebase Authentication)
• Preferences: remembering your interface settings
• Security: detecting suspicious activity and protecting against fraud

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but the Service will not function correctly without them.

6. How We Protect Your Information

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including:

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage at rest through Google Cloud infrastructure
• Role-based access controls — admins see only their own company's data; SEDDT staff access is limited and audited
• Password hashing managed by Firebase Authentication (we never store plain-text passwords)
• Cloudflare protections including DDoS mitigation, Bot Fight Mode, and DNSSEC

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable laws.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Sensor data is typically retained for the duration of your subscription plus a reasonable archival period. You may request earlier deletion as described in the next section.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the EU GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

SEDDT is a business-to-business service intended for use by qualified employees and contractors of our customer organizations. The Service is not directed at consumers, students, or minors. As stated in our Terms of Service, account holders must be at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@seddt.com and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
